Section 2: short answer questions and supplemental information (personal statements) · Residency verification form · Online entry of course grades and unofficial transcripts · NS applicants: campus preference ranking (Cape Breton, Halifax) · Rural Applicant Pathway: 2 short answer questions (250 words) · Other Canadian (pathway) applicants: 250-word statement on choosing Dalhousie · Optional personal context questionnaire (Widening Accessibility Stream) · Activity verifiers contacted November–February · No language test for the regular program (only for externally funded supernumerary advanced placement positions)

How selection works

Eligibility requires meeting minimum GPA and MCAT (GPA-linked sliding scale, 123 per section) and Casper. Due to limited interview capacity, interview selection is by a pre-interview score of 50% GPA, 25% MCAT, 25% CASPer; about 300-400 applicants are invited (early to mid November). Interview: 10-station virtual MMI. Final selection by application file score and Admissions Committee approval; the committee reviews personal statements/supplemental forms between September and March.

Where official sources disagree

  • pools (out-of-province): Dalhousie's residency page says there are no longer General Pool Out of Province positions (only 6 Indigenous/Black Learners pathway seats), but the application-process and interview pages still mention an 'Other Canadian' pool statement requirement.
  • campuses: The Campus Sites page says 'two physical campuses' but describes three sites (Halifax, Cape Breton Medical Campus in Sydney, Saint John).
  • contact.phone: AFMC lists 902-494-1874; Dalhousie's admissions page lists the Faculty of Medicine at 1-902-494-6592 (DMNB Saint John 1-506-636-6000).
